Responsible for working with the business, HR and L&D to assess, define and develop a technical competency framework for GWS consistent with the business strategy and growth agenda.
In partnership with business SME’s - create, administer, and oversee the delivery of a training curriculum for GWS.
Collaborates with EMEA and Americas L&D and business teams to understand their training curriculums to share and implement where appropriate.
Develops, establishes and implements regional strategic objectives and goals for the training curriculum.
Identifies gaps in training curriculum and develops enhancements to the programs based on feedback from management, division and country leadership and attendees of training sessions.
Creates a training matrix for Facilities Manager and Technical/Engineering employees for each country ensuring local country requirements are included.
Recommends and creates training programs for development to suit needs of business (i.e. apprenticeship, external training w/technical associations, etc.).
Establishes and implements policies and procedures to ensure coordination and delivery of the entire department curriculum. Monitors course and training resource utilization to ensure that department needs are being met. Champions regional and line of business change initiatives.
Provides coaching on design and delivery techniques.
Reviews any current training materials with country leaders/specialists to ensure content reflects current and relevant information of policies, procedures and processes within the department and country. Provides guidance to department leadership on suggested updates.
Makes recommendations for enhancements to course creation and record training within LMS (Learning Management System).
Assists in the preparation of the APAC training budget with business and L&D.
Creates and delivers concise communication through APAC Region and Country Leadership to employees as it relates to training initiatives and programs.
Utilizes advanced knowledge of eLearning development software to create and enhance self-paced recorded training.
Manage relationships with any external vendors on budget and scope related to training initiatives.
Establish links and liaison with selected Technical Training Schools, Colleges and Universities for potential sharing of curriculum and training courses; identify potential source of new technical/engineering talent.
Demonstrable engineering background in similar industry.
Experience designing, developing and implementing training curriculums.
Excellent written, verbal and listening skills; critical thinking and problem-solving skills; project management; a strong customer service orientation.
Experience working in a rapidly changing, highly complex, fast paced matrixed environment.
Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work with key stakeholders across geographically dispersed environments.
Undergraduate Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Civil) or equivalent field
