The effective implementation of human resources (HR) initiatives, policies and procedures, including compliance, employee onboarding and exiting, performance management, training, compensation, affirmative action planning and employee safety. Performs work that is varied and may be somewhat difficult but usually involves limited responsibility. Primary business partners are first line supervisors.

The key roles and responsibilities of Assistant Manager, Regional HR, Northern China are:

  • Keep up-do-date on labor-related legislations and government policies and ensure full compliance thereof across all businesses in northern China.
  • Oversee HR operations and activities, preparation of employment contract and amendments, employee visa applications, basic training, HR systems for north China and attendance and payroll checking for China ensuring compliance with local legislation and market practice.
  • Work cooperatively with managers of other HR functions including Recruitment,Compensation& Benefits, Learning & Development, Payroll, Project etc to ensure an integrated approach is taken in supporting the Company’s strategic goals.
  • Provide operational HR services to the NC business in line with the HR Strategic plan to optimize the use of the Company’s human resources and maximize profitability.
  • Develops, plans and sets HR initiatives, policies, and procedures and ensure effective and timely implementation.
  • Provides employee relations support, including conflict resolution, disciplinary action and performance improvement counseling. 


        Fluent spoken and written English with good communication skills, strong presentation skills, write high standard reports

        Highly organized with strong administration and logistical skills, attention to detail

        High level of conceptual, innovative, analytical and problem-solving skills.

        Strong detailed knowledge of employment legislation (particularly related to fair and ethical treatment of all employees), local and regional policies and regulatory requirements. Advanced level in Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. 

        University degree or above in Human Resources or related discipline.

        A minimum of 5 years’ experience in effective HR functions and management
