The Assurance & Safety Lead (SEA) is primarily the countries focal point of all safety and assurance related matters across contract. The role is to provide subject matter expertise, support & guidance in respect of the management and administration of the account’s programs. The role includes but is not limited to the following:


Assurance

• Understand the risk framework the account operates within and be able to train, explain and undertake internal checks against compliance.
• Act as a solution-oriented mentor for delivery teams to ensure that reporting, compliance, and processes are fully understood and implemented.
• Review data feeds to KPIs monthly. Understand any exceptions, challenging findings where appropriate and ensuring rectification plans are implemented and completed where appropriate. • Undertake other root cause analysis, implement rectification plans and manage teams to completion.
• Supported by the analytics and control teams, understand trends, risks and requirements from MIS. Implement as necessary.
• Liaise with the operational teams in each country to track and update the action plans with the support of the broader Intelligent Service Centre (ISC) team again including in relevant reporting decks.
• Provide monthly updates for leadership team advising: upcoming reviews, completed reviews, action plans advising of any consistencies in gaps, non-compliances, challenges.
• Guide local operations to ensure processes are conducted per the documented process and suitable evidence is available to determine compliance.
• To escalate gaps/non-compliances in a timely manner where required.
• Ensure MyQMS process structure is in place, processes are reviewed within the review period and latest versions are available on the SharePoint and are socialised with relevant parties.
• Other tasks as may be prescribed from time to time.


Environmental Health & Safety

• Understand the EHS policies the account operates within and be able to train, explain and undertake internal checks against compliance.
• Act as mentor to delivery teams to ensure that reporting, compliance, and processes are fully understood and implemented.
• Review data feeds to KPIs monthly. Understand any exceptions challenging findings where appropriate and ensuring rectification plans are implemented and completed where appropriate. • Undertake other root cause analysis, implement rectification plans and managed team to completion.
• Supported by the analytics and control teams, understand trends, risks and requirements from MIS. Implement as necessary.
• Ensure incident response plans are in place, training and communications has been rolled out. • Ensure appropriate risk assessments are conducted, appropriate safe work method statements are developed to address the risk identified and the activities are carried out as per the safe work method.
• Manage implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) as per policies and standards for all relevant CBRE staff and managed contractors.
• Ensure all work-related incidents, accidents, occupational ill health and Unsafe Acts/Conditions/Near misses are reported and investigated as per policies and standards to prevent recurrences. Analyse accident statistics to identify trends and implement with appropriate corrective actions. Liaise with internal insurance/HR team concerning accident and claims.
• Coordinate H&S Forum meetings for reporting performance against legal H&S requirements and providing senior country management with relevant information to make appropriate governance decisions. including provision of accident and incident statistics, civil cases, H&S project updates, change in legislation that impact on the bank business etc.
• Identify H&S legal requirements, maintenance of H&S legal register and compliance with legal requirements.
• Develop H&S communications and campaigns and engage with country Corporate Affairs and HR (wellness related)

Education, Work Experience, Characteristics
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from college or university. Minimum 10 years of related experience. • Recognized national or international professional qualification in health & safety management &/or compliance/auditing • Demonstrated knowledge of local health and safety regulations. Direct experience dealing with regulatory agencies and / or compliance officers is required. • Experience working in any one or multiples of the following is essential: food processing, pharmaceutical / biotechnology, construction, property and or a professional services firm. • Regional South East Asia experience • Strong communicator (verbal, written and presentation) & stakeholder influencer
