Graduate opportunities are offered across a number of our locations in Asia Pacific. Requirements are country specific and candidates need to hold the right to work in that country.

At present graduate programs are offered in China, Japan, Hong Kong and India. While we do not offer formal programs in other countries in our region, there are still graduate level opportunities offered on the basis of business need. CBRE graduates will have a strong desire to work within the real estate and property services industry and hold a degree from a reputable university.

Trainees in this accelerated management development program are given unique opportunities to understand how CBRE operates regionally and to work closely with internal and external clients. They are also groomed to assume management positions within three to five years.

What we offer:

Ongoing training and development

Graduate trainees participating in this 18-month program are exposed to different real estate disciplines through job rotations and specific assignments to develop relevant skills. Through these projects graduates benefit from interaction with seasoned professionals at CBRE and develop critical problem solving, project management and client relationship management skills.

Through this program trainees can:

  • Gain an understanding of how CBRE operates and acquire well rounded experience across multiple business disciplines
  • Develop an understanding of the CBRE’s organizational culture and build positive relationships with colleagues
  • Obtain relevant technical knowledge and experience in self-development and prepare for the Assessment of Professional Competence (set by HKIS or RICS)
  • Have the opportunity of a long-term career at CBRE Hong Kong

Feedback and accomplishments

Graduates receive intensive coaching and ongoing feedback from appointed mentors, peers, managers and internal business partners. There is also self-assessment during and after the training period as part of a process to help establish career aspirations and identity a career development plan within CBRE.

15-month Graduate Training Program in Japan

Trainees in this program will get to see how CBRE operates while being given the opportunity to work closely with internal and external clients.

Graduates are exposed to different real estate disciplines through job rotations and specific assignments to develop relevant skills, benefitting from interaction with seasoned professionals at CBRE. Through this experience, trainees will also develop critical problem solving, project management and client relationship management skills.

Graduates also receive intensive coaching and ongoing feedback from appointed mentors, peers, managers and internal business partners, helping them to establish their professional aspirations and identify a career development plan at CBRE.

The Program

Our fifteen month graduate development program provides graduates with a strong foundation for a successful career at CBRE. Graduates who join our program gain exposure to the variety of services offered to our clients and take on responsibility in real project environments.

Our comprehensive development program includes:

  • A one-day formal induction
  • Classroom and virtual sessions covering technical skills in the commercial real estate life cycle and key business skills
  • Group projects using live case studies
  • Guidance and support in order to progress towards professional chartership status with industry bodies (RICS, MRICS, LEED)
  • Networking opportunities with senior managers and peers
  • One-to-one support from line managers, mentors and recent graduates

What's next after the graduate program? 

After the initial 15 months of the program, we would expect that in most cases graduates will have performed well enough to receive a promotion. 

High performers are then recognized, enabling progression to junior and middle management. The purpose is to accelerate professionals who are still at an early stage of their career from "having potential" to "being ready" to lead projects and contracts at CBRE. To achieve this pace of growth employees will need to be incredibly hard working and talented.
